The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's newly appointed Senior Director of Communications Christopher Pinelo is on tour with the orchestra in Japan this month.

Pinelo, a trained baritone, earned a bachelor of music degree from Oberlin Conservatory with a major in vocal performance and a bachelor of arts degree from Oberlin College with a political science major and a film studies minor. (It shows.)
He was Public Relations Manager for the CSO from 2007-2009 and before that, Marketing and Development Manager for the Cincinnati May Festival. He has performed as soloist and narrator with the CSO at Music Hall for Young People's Concerts and for Cincinnati Reds games at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. He has sung also with the May Festival Chorus and the Vocal Arts Ensemble.
In other CSO administrative staff promotions recently announced:
Anne Cushing-Reid, formerly manager of educational activities, becomes Senior Director of Community Engagement and Learning.
Manager of Diversity and Community Engagement Kathy Jorgensen-Finley becomes Director of Community Engagement and Diversity.
Alex Mendelsohn moves from Education Assistant to full time Manager of Community Learning.
New members of the CSO staff are:
Lauren Woodward, who was named Artistic Coordinator in September, and newly appointed Public Relations Assistant Natalie Bieser.
